Procrastination

Procrastination is a challenge we have all faced at one point or another. For as long as humans have been around, we have been struggling with delaying, avoiding, and procrastinating on issues that matter to us.

What Is the Pomodoro Technique?

Pomodoro is a famous technique used to deal with procrastination and to develop a habit of getting things done on time by using a time-management strategy.

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management system that encourages people to work with the time they have — rather than against it. Using this method, you break your workday into 25-minute chunks separated by five-minute breaks. These intervals are referred to as Pomodoro. After about four pomodoros, you take a longer break of about 15 to 20 minutes.

How I followed this Technique;

well, this is the first time that I am applying this technique in my life. it is one of the interesting techniques I like so much. how I follow this technique let start.

1: Decide on the task to be done (for example, complete Section 3 of this course).

I decided to complete my the second online course to complete using this technique

2: Set the Pomodoro timer (alarm) to 25 minutes.

So I set the timer for 25 minutes on my laptop and started my online course.

but one problem I faced during my online course I was distracted many time via social media like Whatsapp. so what I did I just take my mobile aside and focused on the online course.

3: Work on the task until the timer rings. If a distraction pops into your head, write it down, but immediately get back on the task.

when I was busy in my online course I was distracted many times via social media. because I turn on wifi. so what I did during that time I just take my mobile aside and I start focusing on my online course

4:After the timer tings, put a star (or a tick) on a piece of paper

once the timer starts the ring I put a star on the paper that I will start from this point.

5:Take a short 5-minute break.

what I did next I take 5 minutes to break for prayers and after offering prayer I back to the online course and started again.

with the help of this technique, I complete my work on time.

Result:

Due to this technique, I completed my course on time.at takes probably 4 to 5 hours to complete this online course.

Experience

Well, the experience was so interesting, I am using this technique first time in my life, usually, what happened when I start my lecture I think that I will complete this lecture within 1 hour or more, but sometimes it happened the other things which might be distracted from my course. now after using this technique I managed my work with more productivity and It will save my time and less time I can complete my work on time. because time is so important nowadays. we have to manage the time by using this technique to save our time and more productivity at work.

in the future, i will practice this technique to show more productivity.
